Beauty queens! We have made it to the eye makeup tutorial! Gather up all the supplies.
We have prepped.
We have concealed and put on foundation.
We have highlighted, contoured, bronzed and blushed.
Now we are ready for the most fun part! Eyes!
First dab some primer on your lids and rub it in. This keeps those gross creases away that eyeshadow tends to make and helps your makeup to stay on longer.
Take an eyeshadow brush and a brown or darker shade of eyeshadow and stamp it in a rainbow shape starting at the outer corner of your lid and move it into the crease.
With a push and a flick, get a light cream color eyeshadow on your brush. Stamp a ton of this all over your lid. It should be much much much lighter than the shadow you used on the corner area.
With your light cream color shadow again, stamp in the tear trough area for a nice lightening effect!
Once your eyeshadow is done, blend, blend, blend in a rainbow shape.
Eyeliner. If you do not know about tightlining, you are in for a treat! Brown eyes can use a blue toned gray or navy eyeliner under the lash line when tightlining. For blue eyes, a warm orange or red toned brown looks great. What about black? Yes, black is fine, however it can make some eyes appear smaller. How do you tightline? Take a pencil eyeliner and you will be lining the inside of your lash line right on the water line. I have a tutorial on highlighted instagram stories, as well as in the youtube video below!
For eyebrows, begin with brushing them straight up so that you can see where you need to fill in the holes starting with the inside corner. Take your brow powder and an angled brush, or pencil and fill in the spaces with tiny hair like strokes. Finish with brow gel or wax so that they hold their shape.
Watch Jeni and I do a quick little eye makeup tutorial and see it all in action!
We get asked all the time, but that snap chat filter powder we talk about, you can find it here and yes you will want some!!
The final makeup for beginners series blog will be next week, stay tuned for lips!
There are so many cult faves in this roundup! That eye primer is gold!
Best eye primer! No reason to even link any others. Now if I could just keep my stuff semi organized and quit losing key components in my makeup routine all would be well! #ADHDDAMNYOU
