Hayes’ Nursery

Griffin & Hayes January 2017

Look at these cute little guys. Gah, time is such a thief. Looking back on Hayes’ nursery pics is giving me ALL the feels. It seems like just yesterday that Dayme Walther Designs was helping me plan out this sweet space. Nick and I chose not to find out if we were having a boy or girl so we wanted a neutral palette. This wallpaper was installed when the area was used as our guest room and we decided to keep it. Our plan was IF baby was a girl we would add pops of coral/pink/turquoise but instead we got to play off the blue. Bring on the BLUE. I cannot imagine our lives without this baby boy of ours.

The dresser is one of my favorite pieces in his room. Check out those gold knobs…so good! We loved the grey but it comes in white as well. This is such a great dresser and has held up beautifully over the last 3 years (it’s on sale for 20% off right now).

The rocker was our spot. We spent many hours there while the rest of the house was sound asleep. Even though I cherish my sleep, I cannot help but miss those days. Add in a lucite side table and a fun lamp and you have the perfect spot to rock your little love.

This crib y’all!! It’s a steal right now at 40% off. It is solid wood and also available in white. Hayes gives it his stamp of approval because he’s almost three and still sleeps in it every night. We went with a white linen bumper and white sheets because I like to bleach all the things. The crib skirt added some fun with the fringe detail.

The boys loved playing on this cozy white rug. It provided some texture and warmth to the wood floors.

Probably one of the most important parts of any nursery in my opinion are the curtains…not so much for looks (although they look great) but for the blackout. I need my babies to nap! All three of my kids have these and I swear by them.

We added in little details like this mirror, some monogrammed pillows, sailboat artwork and a mobile to make the space our own. I loved how it all came together and I’m looking forward to getting into our new home soon so I can decorate once again.
