Bold and Colorful Bachelorette Pad Dining Room

Bold and Colorful are two words that describe so much of me! My style, my vibe, my personality. And yes, my dining room.

Many of you have followed along with my post-divorce home purchase and renovation on instagram and it has been quite the transformation. It’s a dream come true to take the ideas inside of my Willy Wonka head and bring them to life. Then to get to actually live in the space definitely turns up my happy dial!

Come on in to my bright bachelorette pad (through the formal living room, try to ignore crazy Waffles, she will be wiggling and wanting to be all up on you) and see how my funky dining room turned out!

Since you can see some of the formal living in this shot, I will link the items that make an appearance. I would never want to be a tease! 😉

The curtain installation was yesterday and it pulled it all together just as I had hoped! I use Rona for custom window treatments and she is worth every penny! You can see her work here.

When I say I spend hours working on and obsessing over interiors, I’m talking houuuurrrrssssss. It’s almost always when I lay down to go to sleep. Next thing I know, I look up and it’s freaking 3 am and I’m still looking at planters/wallpaper/fabric/insert whatever home item here. Odds are I didn’t find anything to actually purchase either. You can only imagine how long it took me to find this fabric. I needed it to be colorful and playful, but it also had to go well with the formal living room so the transition was smooth from room to room. Also, it had to look good with the black and white striped wallpaper and my beloved artichoke lamps that will be with me for the long haul. Oh and one more thing, the fabric had to compliment the kitchen with wild turquoise cabinets.

The clouds parted, the sun beams surrounded me and the fabric fairies did their best choreographed Irish step dance when I came across Kitty McCall’s Tropicalia Fabric. It was perfect, the search was over and I did a herkie. (where my 90s cheer girls at?!) The clear acrylic curtain rod finished off the look and I couldn’t be happier!

Moving along. This light fixture has been a highly requested link when I have shared it on instagram stories, at $360 it’s a steal! It looks much more expensive than it is.

I had so many other places that I thought this mirror would go in my house, but this ended up being the winner. It’s $299. I have had my eye on it for years and finally pulled the proverbial trigger. I found this black faux marble dining table for $399 which nicely balances out the artichoke lamps that are $725 a piece! I had them in my old house, otherwise they would have never made the budget cuts under new management.

The palm plant in the corner added some nice height. It’s fake. Almost all of my plants are fake. I can’t imagine having to remember when and how much light and water they need. Not interested, faux is my bro. Which incidentally leads me to tell you that I just found out yesterday that Pho is my bruh. Why did it take me so long to try it? It was delicious. And messy. I flopped it all over my face, my clothes, my table and the floor.

The high gloss white sideboard is great for storage and I had a lot of fun styling it. I’ve had this Kristi Kohut print for many years now and it worked so well in this space!

Looky looky at the fabulous things I found to go on the sideboard!

Love the lamp but not into the brightest pink Roy G. Biv has to offer? I found this gorgeous all white one at a cheaper price!

I’ve always been drawn to black and white. I love the contrast. Stick a monstera leaf in a vase and impress the heck out of yourself. I mean, I might as well be a dang florist with this arrangement! Scroll through these vases to get to the actual monstera leaves I purchased.

How dope is this statue?! The answer: very, very dope. Mad dope. It’s a gorgeous conversation piece, a stunner, an ice cream cone unicorn horse for crying out loud! This sculptor is from Istanbul (not Constantinople) and does amazing work. He even welcomes custom orders! Here are some of his other pieces:

Jeni got me hooked on these gorgeous coffee table books. A great investment that you will keep forever. The books are huge, eye catching colors and are the best we have found for styling. They would make an excellent gift!

Oh, hi cute chairs! So nice of you to grace us with your sleek, modern, swivel-y presence.

And what’s that partymobile over to the side?

Glad you asked.

It’s my bar cart! It deserves it’s own entire blog post along with Jeni’s gorgeous actual entire bar. We will be working on an all things bar related post in the near future. Cheers. Salud. All Nostra.

Here are some spiffy bar carts ranging from $125-$209

This is the coolest thing! It’s a framed boom box, obviously, but what’s not so obvious is that it’s bluetooth and has some legit speakers. I had my handy man cut a hole in the wall so that the speakers would be undetectable and the frame would be flush with the wall.

This little “press for champagne” sign, also the coolest thing, and it rings!

And a few links to some of these items, so you bar lovers can chill ’til the next episode.

I wanted a small centerpiece because we actually eat at this table frequently. This cute peony arrangement does the trick and the black vase is a YES.

Thanks for stopping in for my first room tour of the bachelorette pad! I’ll be sure to show you what else I’ve been working on as each room gets complete!
