Whats up Wednesday

We are so excited to be linking up with our sweet friends Sheaffer & Shay today! Here is what we are up to this Wednesday!!!

What we are eating:

JM: Right now I am eating avocado toast with Everything but the Bagel seasoning, blueberries and I’m on my second cup of coffee.

PW: Been really crushing on Kodiak Cakes waffles and Coconut Berry Red bull.

What we are reminiscing about:

JM: Paige’s sitter went through her scrapbooks this week and tagged us in so many hilarious pictures. Texas Tech from 2000-2004 were some dang good memories.

PW: Samesies.

Top left: surely I wasn’t that chubby and surely Zach didn’t have wet snakes for hair. But probably yes. Top right: some hillbilly party and clearly couple goals. Bottom: Hmm. That J necklace tho.
Tigger was my ex boyfriend Chess, who Jeni and I both went to HS with. Zach is the devil. We got engaged a month later!

What we are loving: Every month we post our favorite things for the month. You can check out June here. For July these are the things we are loving:

  1. Neck and back massager: Here I go again with more massaging neck/back gadgets. This one is a must have for anyone that struggles with neck and back pain.
  2. Beauty Blender: This is a set with two sponges and a case. These are the best for foundation and cream contour!
  3. Bum Bum Cream: Cult favorite? You bet your bum bum! Was this also on my June favs? Bet your bum bum on that too. Can’t rave about this enough.
  4. Skinny Headbands: Great for working out and keeping little hairs back when you have a ponytail. Also love these with a messy bun. My kids love them too!
  5. Chest Wrinkle Pad: It’s kind of a weird concept, but it works! I could tell a serious difference after one single use. If you are prone to chest wrinkles, this just may be the key!
  6. Collagen Eye Pads: Gel masks for under eyes. Helps with puffiness, anti aging and bags.
  7. Bangles: You know we live for these! Rose gold was the perfect addition to the collection.
  8. Pool Float: Hilarious used car man, I heart him.
  9. Favorite Blanket of my life.
  10. Massager: This is much like the other one, but without the long strap things. Equally as amazing.
  11. Watermelon Float: Great quality, good big size.
  12. Lip Tint: subtle, just how I like it.
  13. Drawer Organizer: This took my underwear drawer from tornado aftermath to organizational bliss.
  14. Makeup Organizer: See above. But switch undies for makeup.
  15. Neck Relaxer and Stretcher: Again, my neck!! This thing is nuts, it makes you feel like your head isn’t attached to your body. Weightless. It stretches and relaxes and is a head hammock.
  16. Ugg Blanket: You have to feel it to believe it. Softest, nicest blanket. Stock up while they are on major sale for gifts!!!
  1. Volumizing Hairdryer: We are loving this. I saw “we” because it has done amazing things on my daughters mane. Dries faster and creates body!
  2. Leopard Top: I’ve been wearing this a lot with the matching skirt but I love that it’s a two piece set and I can pair with black jeans this fall.
  3. Laura Mercier Pallet: The perfect neutrals and some pretty colors to take me into fall & winter.
  4. Billie Razor: A seriously close shave.
  5. Rose Gold BudhaGirl: I’ve been reaching for these on the daily. Seriously obsessed.
  6. Thigh High Booties: Grab these on sale while you still can. One of my favs from the Anniversary Sale.
  7. Rotating Organizer: Why has it taken me so long to purchase this. For around $20 your bathroom counter will thank you!
  8. Where The Crawdads Sing: Take my advice and buy the hardcover, not the audible. Great read!
  9. Clear Glitter Slides: These are kids shoes but I’m a Womens 8 and the XL fit me perfectly. Bonus: you can match your mini me!
  10. Charlotte Tillbury Set: Worth it for the liner alone, but I am loving the lipstick and gloss combo.

What we’ve been up to:

JM: My big kids have been away for far too long on vacation and I’ve had massive anxiety over it. I’ve kept myself SUPER busy! Lots of playtime with my 3 year old, dinners with friends, a party bus, date nights, a trip to the lake, organizing the house. I haven’t stopped.

PW: Photo shoots for Paige Walker Photography, editing, more photo shoots and more editing. Blogging photo shoots, editing those. Trying to help my adorable cousin get on the Bachelor by taking her photos and making her the best damn audition video that they will have every laid eyes on. Which in turn created me, yes, more editing. In between, working out lighting and cabinetry details for the house we are building. Trying to have a social life, be the okayest wife and mom and possibly sleep 4-6 hours.

What we are doing this weekend:

JM: No plans! Well other than a basketball game, an indoor soccer game and a birthday party for Jackson’s friend. I’m betting my kids will be jet lagged and will want to enjoy some quiet time at home and that sounds just perfect to me too.

PW: A little work and a lot of NOTHING. Aaaaaaahhhaaaaaaahhhhhaaaaaaahhhhhhhaaaaaaameeennnnn. Please imagine me singing that in a very serious, very heart felt church lady singing voice.

What we are excited about:

JM: My big kids come home from London and Paris TODAY!!!! They have been away for the last 10 days with their dad on a summer vacation. To say I am excited is an understatement. I cannot wait to have all my babies back under the same roof.

PW: I’m excited that I’m not pregnant. Not tryna have a failed vasectomy 5th kid. That scare was still going strong until yesterday. Also excited about my new house stuff. Excited to meet with artificial turf man on Thursday. If that’s not adulting, I don’t know what is.

What we are watching:

JM: Bachelorette, of course. I’m also catching up on Southern Charm and RHOBH. Reality TV junkie right here.

PW: Bachelorette. Last Chance U. The Hills New Beginnings. Looking forward to Bachelor in Paradise debauchery.

What we are listening to:

JM: Normally Alexa plays Christian music while I’m at home but Paige made me feel insecure about my lack of knowledge on any current music so I add in top hits every now and then. If it was a hit from 98-04 I can sing every word. Easy E, Lil Kim, Nelly….I miss those days.

PW: Anything top 40, anything hip hop, Bible Binge.

What we are working on:

PW: Working on editing a newborn session. Working on my mouse shoulder mobility. Working on being more pleasant in the evenings when I have had enough. Working on work/life balance.

What we are wearing:

JM: I live in athletic clothes. These are my favorites right now. If I’m not in that you can usually find me in cut offs and a tee. Casual style is my thing.

PW: Jean shorts, tank, neon gucci sandals, my husband’s deodorant and thank the dear lord, Thinx period panties.
