Well helllllooooo. Seems like it’s been a bit since our last post. We took some time to enjoy our families and the all the craziness that comes with the holidays. We hope everyone had the Merriest Christmas. We are both ready to say goodbye to 2019 and bring in the new year. Come on 2020! Here are our favorites for the month of December.
- Patagonia Fleece: I keep reaching for this over and over. Comfy and not too warm.
- Barefoot Dreams Blanket: Stupid expensive but worth every single penny.
- Cleansing Balm: Lots of my friends rave about this cleanser. I’ve used it for a few months on and off and just didn’t understand the hype. This month my skin has been super dry and now I get the love. My skin is so soft after using this.
- Beauty Blender: I could never bring myself to buy the original because I thought the generic would be just as good. I was wrong…so wrong. Totally different. Much softer. Concealer blends much easier.
- Custom Cover for EC Planner: My mom bought me a new EC planner for Christmas (see below) and I made a new cover with my kids pics on it by the uber talented Paige Walker Photography.
- Round Mirror: I bought this for Hayes’ bathroom and the price and size and quality are on point. It also comes in gold and silver.
- Sconces: Home decor is what I have been focusing most of my time on and these sconces are GORGEOUS.
- EC pouch: Love the elastic band that keeps this attached to your planner.
- Life Planner: Start your year off right by getting organized. These are the best.
- Velvet Hangers: Just bought these white and gold hangers and I’m in the process changing out the black ones in my closet. Nice fresh look!
- Makeup Brush Cleanser: So easy, no rinse, brushes dry crazy fast. This stuff will make me clean my brushes much more often.
- Ring: I lost the ring I gave my girls at favorite things and then it sold out so I found this one and I may like it even more.
- Kids Duvet: Comes in so many cute options. Great quality and Hayes is loving it.
- Mexican Train: The kids and I got hooked on this game while playing with family in Boston.
- Duvet Insert: under $25 for the twin option and super cozy.
- Big Boy Bed: I finally bought Hayes two of these for his new room. He’s 3.5 and was still in a crib. Not that it kept him in it…he’s been escaping the crib since before he was 18 months old. He’s loving the new bed but still climbs in with us every single night around 2 am. Sigh. The bed is adorable and great quality. Now to just figure out how to keep him in it.
Whadup ladieeees?! As Jeni said, it’s been a minute. If you have kept up with us on instagram stories then you know I am the width of dental floss away from a mental breakdown. Exaggeration of course, but Carrie Underwood said it best, “Jesus take the whe-he-heeeeel.” Don’t neglect your marriages, no matter how many kids and jobs you have, it ruins it. Debbie Downer out, Positive Paige back in! I’m feeling myself more and more and will kick ass no matter what. ok?ok? Here is what I liked this festive month!
- iPhone 11 battery case: Yes it’s a bit heavier and has a bulkyish part at the bottom, but the full battery all the time is worth the larger case. I haven’t had a panicky out of battery moment since I got this gadget. Highly recommend.
- Ms. Pac Man Micro: No, this isn’t the huge full size one that Zach got for the new house. This this is a tiny one and just as fun. Blake got it for Christmas and we all love it.
- Screw Everything Necklace: Mood.
- Heart Necklace: For those not “screw everything” days.
- Tom Ford Books: When you find somebody good, keep them in your life. 100 Tom.
- Jewelry Box: I have had my eye on this for a year. I got it from Christmas from my mommy and daddy because I am their special girl. Gag, JK, hope you know that was far from serious. I mean, yes they got me that, but no I’m not the mommy and daddy type.
- Golden Goose: At what point do you go from a collector to an addict? I’m borderline.
- Ring: The best little statement ring. Jeni got us these for our favorite things party and it is, indeed, a favorite thing.
- Opalens Face Serum: Jeni and I are loving this! It has great stuff in it and gives you just a little bit of a tan. You will wake up and like what you see.
- Tanning Mousse: This self tanner is easy to apply with their mitt. I really like how subtle this is, so you don’t get the fake tan look whatsoever. Easily buildable, lots of room for user error.
- Tanning Application Mitt: Not only is this a cute mitt, it’s a very effective little dude.
- The Body Filter: THIS IS A MUST HAVE! Not a self tanner, more of a bronzer for your body. Think of it like an instagram filter, you are tan, smoothed out and way the heck hotter than you were before. Trust. I put this on my legs and was blown away. I’ll do a little demonstration on stories today at some point.
- Hoodie: Aviator Nation y’all, it’s right up my casual alley. You will live in this. Oh, I got an XS because they are unisex.
- 3 GOOOOOLDEN RINGSSSSS: Sing that in your prettiest church lady holiday voice please. These come in a set of 3, are so dainty and wearable and look way more expensive than they are.
- 2000 Mini Hair Elastics: I use these on myself and on my girls.
- Elastic hair band remover: If you just read the above and thought, no way, my girls hate those. Well looky looky! These little picks cut right through the hair tie and no one cries. Win.
- Dyson Handheld: This brings me much joy. My housekeeper loves this and my Dyson stick vacuum and I know she has used her fair share of vacs. I clean my car with it, around the litter box, damn I don’t like having a litter box, crumbly food messes on the floor. It’s baller status in my mind.
- Bum Bum Candle: Again, at what point do you go from fan to creepy? I just can’t quit this stuff and the candle is lovely.
- Flair Pens: I’m picky about my writing utensils. These check every box. Which I believe is two boxes. Felt tip and cute colors.
- Brumate: I have an upper problem, I will admit it. Caffeine in the form of Red Bull is one of my choice caffeine forms. My SIL got me this for Christmas and it’s like a metal coozie for tall skinny cans. I have used it every day since.
- Lightning Earrings: So cute! They are mirrors and a fun statement earring.
- Cuticle Slicers: These suckers are sharp, but work great.
- Bangle Key Ring: Like the big O one, but way cheaper. For $10, so worth a try if you have been wanting one of these. They go on your wrist and also make keys way easier to find. I wouldn’t know anything about losing keys multiple times a day. Help me.
- Shaving Cream: This is my favorite kind. It’s cheap and you can get a pack of 4 and not run out for like two years if you shave as infrequently as I do. Thank you laser hair removal.
- Gummy Bear Studs: I got these for Kylie for Christmas and they are crazy cute! I wear them too!
- Lip Butter: So good! My daughters steal it, I steal it back. Stay away from my lip butter.
- Vegan Leather Pants: I guess vegan sounds better than faux. Still seems goofy. The pants, though are smoking hawt. I got a 25, my normal size and they fit amazing. The buttons on the fly are cute and they can be dressed up or down. Under $100 and I tried on a ton of other pairs and thought these were the best!
- Foaming Hand Soaps: A good little sampler pack from bath and body works. I have these in all the bathrooms and in the kitchen, they all smell really good!
- Glamorous Wash: If you have used this before, then you get why it’s a cult favorite. This detergent I get stingy with because I want to only have my clothes smelling like this amazingness. Too nice for kids, too girly for husbands/boyfriends. You can walk into a room and people notice. It smells awesome, but also the smell doesn’t fade. My closet smells good because of this.
- Homesick Candle: Texans think Texas is the best thing ever because it is. Secede! I’m not that crazy, let’s not secede, but I do love Texas and this candle smells kind of like leather and pine trees. Kind of manly. I dig it.
- Lulu leggings: These are soft, fit so good and they are on sale! I wear a size 4 in these.
- Brazilian Shampoo and Conditioner: Here we go, but yes I love this. I also love the little bonus body spray you get with it.
- Face Masks: So very hydrating, even Zach was like whoa, your skin looks way better. It’s a big white cloth thing with eyes, nose and mouth holes and a ton of serum on it. 10 come in the box, hydrate on sistas.
- Drinking Game: Not my usual preferred activity, but we played this with our college friends and it was super fun.
