Come on in and let me show you around my dream come true! This studio represents literal blood, sweat and tears and I sometimes can’t even believe my name is on a sign. What started as a way to make a little extra money and give me a much needed outlet in 2010 has turned into supporting my family and creating lasting memories for hundreds of families every year. What an honor!

My first “studio” was in the basement of my historic house. It was small and the ceiling was abnormally low (sorry early PWP clients). You have to start somewhere! After a year or so of that, we decided to knock down our old detached garage and build a new space that could double as a guest house for a future owner. It was perfect! Well, perfect for a couple of years. Onward and upward we went to our first storefront space on Camp Bowie. It was cute as can be, tall ceilings, a small prop closet and a bathroom. When the lease was up after 3 years, Lauren (the most amazing manager) and I knew we needed more space and another upgrade. We chose this space, an insurance agency with cubicles, in a different retail center also on Camp Bowie.

Cubicles were ripped out, carpet was pulled up and I told my contractors, “when in doubt, BLANCO!” I wanted beautiful light bouncing all over that place so the more white, the better! We left one little office for Lauren to do her view and order appointments in and one closet for all of our many many props. We are loving our much larger, much better organized studio and aside from the great cricket plague of biblical proportions we had this summer, have been very pleased!

With a little hustle (or extreme hustle) and a lotta balls, you can absolutely go after your dreams! I love that my daughters have seen me have a career and be a mommy and it would be so awesome if one of them wanted to work with me someday!

We photograph a ton of newborns and have so many little outfits and props for them. Not pictured though is the prop closet and backdrop/furniture/wardrobe closet. It ain’t pretty.

Lauren’s territory. Don’t touch anything. Don’t move a pen. Don’t leave a mess. She will notice. Oh yes, she will notice.
