February Favorites

dallas Fort Worth bloggers

It’s LOVE month, so its only appropriate that we talk about a few things we are loving. February has been full of new makeup, skincare, clothes and some random crap that we think is cool and hope you do too.

  1. Bronze and Glow: I’m loving this Charlotte Tilbury duo. The bronzer gives just the right amount of color and the highlighter is subtle and not too sparkly.
  2. Lip Scrub: By bite beauty, this scrub has really helped my dry, winter lips. Bonus: it tastes amazing.
  3. Pink and Red Sweater: I bought this with Valentine’s Day in mind but it will easily transition into spring. TTS and only $18.
  4. Smith’s Rosebud Salve: I use this after the lip scrub at night. Its the perfect balm with just a hint of a rose scent.
  5. Brow Gel: I just discovered brow gel, not sure where I’ve been but I am loving Bobby Brown’s version in blonde.
  6. Striped Sweater: Another great option to transition into spring. Pair with white jeans and open toed booties….best part its ELEVEN DOLLARS. I mean, I spend more on my chick fill-a-order. Great buy!
  7. Aqua Bomb Sleep Mask: I’ve been using this a couple times a week and my skin is loving it. I apply at night and wake up to a happy, moisturized face. It is a jelly type of texture which is different but it doesn’t feel sticky or come off on my pillow.
  8. YSL Tinted Moisturizer: I’m really loving this stuff. Medium coverage but enough for me to use as my foundation. It feels light and gets the job done.
  9. Mommy & Me Leggings: The fact that my girl wants to match me still makes me so happy. There are so many cute options in these and they are TTS. Use code styleduplicated for 20% off
  10. The Road Back to You and The Enneagram: I’ve been totally geeking out on enneagrams this month. Both of these books have been eye opening and easy reads. Slide into my DMs if you want to talk enneagrams subtypes and wings.
  11. Concealer: Another Charlotte Tilbury favorite. I love the little sponge on the end to make for easy application.
  1. Laptop Case: This thing is so cute, $15, and has a little case for the charger.
  2. Shape Tape: The go to concealer of bloggers everywhere. It comes out a little white, but with the beauty blender you get a flawless finish.
  3. Contour Palette: Let’s talk contouring, it takes my face to another level. I love the cream contour in the bottom left of the palette, and the highlighters and bronzers are also so good! I have several contour kits and this is queen of my disastrously messy makeup drawer.
  4. YSL BB Cream: BB cream is my jam. I hate serious foundation, but this one is pretty full coverage. I have the medium which is great when I have a spray tan, but a bit dark when I’m my normal whitey pale.
  5. Trigger Point and Acupressure Roller: I buy some weird ish. I’m always looking for some kind of help with my aching self. This feels awesome and I like to keep it under my desk and reflex my ologies and acu my pressures.
  6. Workout Tank: For $14.99 this is a no brainer. It can be open in the back for a looser fit, or tied for a tighter fit with the cutest little knot. The mesh back is so cute. I need more of these.
  7. Valentino Rockstud T-Straps: I have had a serious crush on these for a while. When Jeni and I were in Dallas for the staycation I got them for my birthday and I am loving these classic Valentino pumps!
  8. Phone Case: This is by far the absolute best looking personalized phone case I have seen. I have the lavender with the sparkly gold and white letters and people ask me where I got it almost daily. If your case has seen it’s better days, get this one!
  9. Mommy and Me Leggings: Aven was so thrilled to dress like me! I think this was our first time to ever dress alike. So much fun and so many adorable prints, the unicorns are to die for! Use code: styleduplicated for 20% off!
  10. Brow Gel: Now that my brows are tinted and shaped, I keep them in place with this clear gel. A little goes a long way, too much and you get a case of the mysterious crispy brow. This tube will last a long long time.
  11. Slimmer Shimmer: Let’s say I skipped the spray tan, this is a game changer. Roll it down the center of your arms, legs and chest and blend it in with your hands. You will shimmer, glow and look less flour and more brown sugar.
  12. Silicone Makeup Sponge: I use this just for the contouring. I like the way it blends the color without taking away much product. This is a great tool to have in your bag o’ beauty tricks and extremely easy to clean.
  13. Bella Terra BB Cream: Here is another BB cream I have been using. This one has a nice powdery finish and has medium coverage. It’s lighter than the YSL BB cream, but easily buildable. I got light, the usual, the darn paper mâché pasty usual.
  14. Everything Eye Brush: I just use this for a new little tricky trick trick I learned. Step one: apply eyeliner in tiny strokes as close to the lash line as you can. Step two: take this very stiff brush and smudge it upward for a really nice soft eyeliner look. Jeni and I both loved this look when we learned about it! So much prettier than a harsh eyeliner line.
  15. Beer Gift Boxes: I knew this would be cute, but it’s cuuuuute! And to my surprise, it comes with 3 other boxes! I was thinking dang, $15 for one frickin beer box? I was willing to go there, Zach Walker, and I actually did go there. I had no idea, and to my delight and glee, when I opened the packaging there was also another Valentine beer box as well as a black and white “thank you” one and a “hooray” one with confetti. Now I have them stashed in the closet when I need a quick gift that looks like I went out of my way to be cute and thoughtful. And since you are itching to know what I wrote inside the card, it says “You are the beer’s ears!” which certainly is a compliment. HBD Zachy!
  16. Ninja: Not sure why it took me so long to get this. It makes the best easiest, to go cup smoothies. My kids can even use this. Also great for salsa and anything else you would us a blender for. Super easy to clean, just a great little kitchen gadget.
  17. Beautyblender Makeup Sponge: I use this in addition to the silicone one. Get this a tiny bit wet and blend, blend, blend for that airbrush look with no weird makeup lines.
  18. Flawless Filter: I use this as a primer if I’m going full out fever “fleek” face, or just on it’s own if I’m going “preschool drop off/running errands and might see someone that knows I do a lifestyle blog and need a little something something on” face. My color is 2 light. I feel triumphant that I was not a 1 fair. If you are a 1 fair, you are still my people. Don’t forget to get your skin checks. If you are a 4 medium and up, you are annoying, but still get your skin checks. Bob Marley died of Melanoma, no one is safe! P.S. I had melanoma in my late 20s so I preach about it. PUH-REACH!
  19. Insulated PrimaLoft Jacket: Too good to pass up! It’s on sale right now for $96.99 and I paid way the heck more than that. This is one of those jackets you will be throwing on for years with yoga pants and it makes you look so put together.
  20. Acupressure Mat and Pillow: Ok like I said, weird ish and I’m a sucker for a pain relief gizmo. This had entirely too many amazing ratings and testimonials for me to pass up. The little white things activate pressure points. You are supposed to lay on it for 10-15 minutes as a beginner and as you move up to sensei you can use this for 45 minutes. I do about 10 before ADHD has me all nope, moving on things to do, where is my phone, what did I say I was going to do, I need to change the laundry, I need to get a drink of water………
