Paige: 5’4” 118 lbs usual size-25 with darn stumpy legs
Jeni: 5’9″ 125, size 25 or 26 depending on length for my long-ass limbs
A good pair of jeans NEVER goes out of style. Paige and I went on the hunt for the best designer jeans last week and we found some really great options.
I remember my very first pair of designer denim. It was my Junior year at Texas Tech and “Sevens” had just become popular. It’s quite possible they were popular waaaaay before this but they had just made their way to Lubbock, TX. I tried them on, fell in love…then looked at the price tag. Until this day, I would never have considered spending $100 on jeans – no way I could’ve possibly afforded them. If I were to guess, I probably told my parents that I needed a new book for class, maybe even some groceries. I was scandelous like that…sorry guys!! That day ruined me.
If you’ve never bought a pair of designer denim, I suggest you invest in some. They will outlast your other jeans and they hug all the right places. For me the length was the best part. I’m 5’9″ and it can be a challenge finding jeans that are long enough. My friends say I have Abe Lincoln syndrome. If you google, it’ll probably say something about having disproportionately long limbs. They are so sweet. But when they need someone to take a group selfie…I’m always their girl. Go, go gadget arms…
First up, J Brand. I’ve always loved this brand. High-rise but not too high. I love the rose gold button and the color is dark but not too dark, so it will transition well into spring. My first pair to try on and the ones that I went home with. Bam.
Joe’s leopard side stripes. So fun and if I wasn’t in the market for a basic pair of denim I would’ve bought these.
Rag and Bone chewed hem skinny ankle. I loved these on Paige and the hem detail adds something extra. Rag and Bone is one of my favorite brands, they fit so well.
DL1961 Skinnies. I had never tried on this brand before but if you are a taller girl, listen to me…you need these. So long and so soft. I was really wanting a lighter color or these would’ve come to live with me. Size down.
AG high rise skinnies. So flattering!
7 for all mankind (The OG) ankle skinnies. I really liked the color of these but just a tad too short for my liking.
Paige brand with raw hem. Paige jeans feel like pajamas. How do they do that?
Rooooar. Someone’s looking hot in these leopard jeans.
Frame, a new favorite brand. Paige’s favorite of the evening.
J brand in a lighter wash

Jeni!
I am dying because we have the same issue! I’m not tall at all (Like Paige tall) but my limbs make up the majority of my body. (I mean my arms are longer than my friend who is 6 inches taller than me) I am ALWAYS the selfie taker and they always say “Go Go Gadget Arms” when they need me to grab something haha I always thought I was just weirdly proportionate! Glad to know I’m not alone!
I cannot wait to look at some of these jeans! They look so cute on both of you! Thank you for sharing!
LOVE it!!! Long limb girls unite. xoxo.
This was adorable! You guys really found some amazing jeans! Thank you for the shoutout to us taller girls. at 5’8 i have trouble finding jeans sometimes. thank you!
I know we are both on the slim side, but at least we are different heights and body types so we have different opinions on fit. So glad you like the post!!!
Definitely look into the DL1961 brand. So impressed.
oh my goodness….I, too, remember Sevens….the “A” pocket! I just had to have a pair. thank you for making me recall a wonderful time period in my life!!!
Could you even really call yourself stylish if you didn’t own the A pocket? I think not. haha! Sevens were our gateway jeans!
Such a cute post! And y’all were both made for jeans!
Thanks Sheaffer! We were made for these jeans perhaps, some were so unflattering it was cringeworthy haha!
