Bahamas Vacation part 2

Did you read about our adventurous part 1?! We felt like we belonged on some combo of the travel channel and animal planet and we were in awe all day!

The exhaustion we felt after using every mode of transportation that day, aside from a locomotive, was no joke. We all needed sleep so bad, I know you will be jealous, but I actually do wake up oozing this much beauty.

And just for the sake of roasting my BFF…

Zach and I ordered room service that got lost somewhere in translation and never made it. Why do I feel like room service never quite works out for the Walkers?? Always some sort of snag. We cancelled that and went straight for the pool where we would drink lovely tropical drinks, have great conversations and see many interesting outfit choices ranging from bedazzled thongs to speedos. Speaking of interesting choices, Zach kept ordering this drink called Purple Pain. It was bright purple and may or may not have inflicted pain. I stuck with my go to vacation drink, Miami Vice! For those of you that have never tried this delicacy, it is a mixture of piña colada and strawberry daiquiri.

The hotel had the cutest little airstream trailers that were set up like a food truck park. Here we are at El Jefe so excited about our margaritas and nachos. They had so many types of margs, I wanted to try them all!

Just looking all cute, ordering our food, not knowing what the moments after this would hold.

I DROPPED MY ENTIRE NACHOS IN THE SAND. The margarita was salvaged. Zach is always taking care of me and saw the sadness on my face and went and got me some more while I went back to the pool. What a man what a man what a man what a mighty good man. Yes he iiiiiiiss. We ate, drank and were merrily enjoying a kid free day at the pool in paradise.

We heard all this great music coming from more of a party pool section of the resort. So what did we do? We got up, got our stuff and followed the sound of the sick beats right on past the pool and up to our beds and took a serious nap. We had to rest up so we could actually make it to our dinner reservation. The previous 2 we cancelled due to laziness.

Costa at the Rosewood is gorgeous! It’s all these little huts that you have to walk across bridges to get to. I guarantee at some point someone has had a few too many beverages and tripped into the koi filled waters. Ker plunk.

Dinner here was really nice and if you are at the Baha Mar, we recommend trying it! We did sort of wish we stayed at the Rosewood after exploring around the property.

Jeni and I were tired after dinner and ready for bed, but the guys wanted to gamble so they stayed up playing black jack for hours. We don’t like to gamble because we lose all our money in 10 minutes and then just wished we went shopping instead. Hard lesson learned in Vegas years ago.

For our final day, we wanted to chill on the beach before going to the airport. We hit up El Jefe again for breakfast burritos and YUM!

The beach was so pretty and we spent some time on this raft thing which we loved. We all wished we had just one more day, but it was almost time to get to the airport. We refused to leave the hotel until we mixed our own daiquiris on a bike though.

Tour de Daqs. Burn 13 calories, drink 1300.

And that concludes our Bahamas vacation! It was one of the best and gets our stamp of approval and a celebratory cartwheel!
