At home Nexgen nail remover

We are all in this together, right?! Our home is totally doing our part to flatten the curve.

During this time there are many things that are not happening and maintenance is one of them. Silly, yes…there are real issues at hand here BUT if you are like me and needed your extremely grown out nails off I have just the way! Follow these simple steps are your fingertips will be AU NATURAL in no time.

Step 1: 100% Acetone. Plain ole nail polish remover isn’t going to cut it. Pour the acetone in a bowl and start soaking.

This cute little set came in very handy. After a few minutes of soaking I used the scraping tool (the one that looks like a hollow triangle) to remove some of the dip. This is a process…it’s not all going to come off after one soak so stay with me.

I used a coarse nail file to file down the top layer and put my nails back into the bowl to soak some more. I repeated this process about three times and finally the dip was gone without damaging my natural nails.

I used the cuticle kit to trim my nails and push back my cuticles, shaped them with a file and added this OPI top coat to strengthen my poor, brittle nails.

It was simple but not without some trial and error. The little clip on nail things below were a total waste, hard to put on and didn’t work at all so save your money and pour the acetone directly into a bowl.

Hopefully we will all be back to the professionals soon but until then I hope this helps!
