Griffin just turned 4 and Hayes is 3, neither had any swimming skills whatsoever. It was a puddle jumper or nothing. They started at Aqua Tots in November with nervous tummies and a few fearful tears. Learning to swim can be a big scary step!
It was very important to us that our boys knew how to swim and were safe around the water, especially with Jeni building a pool at their home. Children ages 1-4 are the most likely to drown and the number 1 cause of drowning is lack of swimming ability. Drowning is the leading cause of unintentional death for children and it typically happens in home swimming pools. This is avoidable and the peace of mind we got from these lessons is priceless.
The instructors made him feel so comfortable and with over 30 hours of intense training, I felt at ease too. They have year round classes for ages 4 months up to 12.
The boys loved that that pools are heated to 90 degrees!
They went from never even putting their face in the water to being able to get a ring off the bottom of the pool! Aqua-Tots impressed us so much and made learning fun. They get two mama thumbs up!
