August Favorites

Last day of august, I guess it’s good to see you. School is back, routines are getting there and moms are getting a much needed break from the end of summer grump fest.

Click the blue links below the picture to shop each item. You can’t click on the actual item this time because of annoying technical difficulties, it’s complicated. Hopefully it will all be worked out with the powers that be for September favs.

1.Retinol Cleansing Wipes: This is the lazy person’s way to quickly get your makeup off and add some retinol all in one swipe.

2. Sectioning Clips: Why haven’t I ever bought these? I always just have a couple of crummy clips and then I lose them. I am loving these for sectioning hair before drying and curling.

3. Facial Hair Trimmer: Go ahead and shave your whole face. Fur is not hot. I also do this for nose hair removal. Nose hair also not hot.

4. Nipple Covers: These have a little space where it isn’t sticky for your nipple to go so you don’t have an “AHHHHH KELLY CLARKSON!” moment like the 40 year old virgin did during his chest wax.

5. Bento Luchbox: School is in full swing and my girls are liking this brand the best. Big enough for big kids.

6. Wrist Piggie: I switched from the other jelly mouse wrist rest because my kids couldn’t stop poking a hole in it. This little piggie is going strong and just as effective!

7. Snake Booties: $99, super cute cold hearted snake boots. Look into his eyes and then order a half size up.

8. Bevill Dog Behavior: The King of dog training. The best of the best. When you think of a professional dog trainer, you may imagine a wacky individual with cargo jorts pockets full of treats, Tevas, a dog whistle around the neck and a questionable hair do. Not Brad. You can expect Vans 10 out of 10 times, more tattoos than you can count, a friendly confidence and a down to earth dog behavior genius. Jeni and I hit it off with him right away like we had known each other for 20 years, he has that kind of vibe. One short consultation and we were not just sold, but blown away. This isn’t a sit, stay, roll over type of deal, this is real world behavior and day to day life stuff. Our dogs are with Brad’s team right now and if you have seen the stories of them on instagram, you get it. If you have a dog, no matter how old or young, and their behavior isn’t on point you have got to go have a consult with Bevill Dog Behavior. Stay tuned to see how they are doing when we get them back in a week!

9. Olive Top: One of my favorites from a recent AE haul.

10. Button Down: These shirts never disappoint. I had no idea how good they were until I broke down and bought one on sale. Now I get at least one a year.

11. Cardigan: Longline cardigans are all over the place this season. I haven’t owned one in a minute and I’m reminded why I love them. This one is $49 and comes in lots of good colors.

12. Tan Booties: These look cute with shorts and jeans. They have a low heel so it’s easy to wear them whenever, wherever.

13. Sleep Pants: I feel like I have been searching for the perfect PJ pants for years. Something was always not quite right. These are quite right. Not tight on the waist, zero high water factor, they are actually way too long but I like that. They have pockets and are very soft and just overall lovely.

14. Nike Shorts: Vintage work out vibes. Another great PJ/lounge option.

15. Cheetah Tee: This is $16 and I knew I liked it, but then kept getting random compliments on it from cool people which made me like it even more.

16. Bum Bum Shower Cream: My obsession with the lotion has led to a shower cream love. The smell is the same, it’s moisturizing and another win!

17. Sudio Earbuds: My first earbuds that are just mine! Sometimes I would borrow Zach’s AirPods, but never bought any. These have great ratings and I am loving them. I do suggest buying the $6 extra pack of little ear squishy things so you can find the perfect size. They come in fun colors and look less creepy in the ears than the AirPods. 18. Milk + Honey Spa: I have found my massage soul mate and his name is Brandon. I’ve been hooked and going to see him every 2 weeks. He’s that good and is really into kinesiology and a very knowledgeable and professional therapist.

19. Rug: Just snagged this colorful beauty for my formal living room. Pierre hasn’t peed on it so that’s a shock. I love color and I love cheap rugs, because pets and kids.

20. Texture Spray: My favorite of the drybar spray lineup. Adds texture, obviously, but also is an overall refresher, adds some hold and volume, adds a nice scent, good stuff.

  1. Labels: The kids are back in school and if you want their things to make their way back home you better label! We are loving these! The price is great, they were delivered quickly and they have held up after the dishwasher cycle.
  2. LunchBox Notes: This makes me feel like the cutesy Pinterest mom that I most definitely am not. Full of sweet little notes that are sure to bring a smile to your kiddos face.
  3. Stasher Bag: Another mom hack. My kids like sliced apples in their lunches or for their snack at school. They do not like when they start turning a weird yellowy brow. These have kept them fresh and the appropriate apple color. You can also freeze things, microwave things and all sorts of other things in these amazing little reusable bags.
  4. Bum Bum Cream: It took me a minute to get on board with this lotion even after Paige has been singing its praises…I am just not a lotion person. I am also not a perfume person. I have officially become as obsessed as Paige with this stuff. I’m actually already considering this GINORMOUS bottle because it is just that good. When we both love something this much you just need to trust and add to cart,
  5. Becca Concealer: I bought this stuff after the kids step mom, Ashleigh talked about it. It really helps with darkness under your eyes and has nice brightening effect.
  6. Calm Gummies: These things WORK. My kiddo that has a hard time falling asleep uses these. He fell asleep faster and slept longer. I started taking them to try it out and could really feel a difference.
  7. Apple Watch: This is my first Apple watch and I don’t know how I’ve gone so long without one. There are a lot of things I like about it but the activity tracker has been one of my favorites. I think its part of the reason I have been working out more…I just need to see those rings close.
  8. Apple Watch Band: I got this one for my bday and its super easy to change out and gives it a more dressy feel.
  9. Jeans: They are so good and come in every color, multiple rises and different lengths. PLUS they are 50% off right now.
  10. Golden Goose: My recent splurge. I love these leopard mid stars.
  11. Eye Palette: Perfect neutrals with a tight line brush.
  12. Peloton: I am loving this app. We recently bought the bike so most days I take cycling with my fav, Cody Rigsby. I also really like the stretching classes.
  13. Sneakers: Easy sneakers that will go with so much this fall. Right now they are price matches and 20% off.
