Ship it or Skip it?!

Another hairy version of ship it or skip it.

There are so many hair products it’s hard to know which ones are gimmicky and which ones are great. I have a few recommendations and a few hell-to-the-nos.

Microfiber drying towel I have three of these. I use them on my own hair and on my 3 daughters too. You can put it on, twist and button and go about your business for a while. When you take it off, your hair is going to be much quicker to dry. This is a definite ship it!

Wide tooth comb If you aren’t combing your hair out with one of these after you wash it, I suggest you do. There is less breakage when you use a comb like this and it does a great job detangling. Ship it!

Styling clips I use these when I am sectioning off my hair to dry and also when I’m curling it or putting in extensions. Ship it!

Clip in hair extensions My hair is long, but the ends get scraggly looking and this helps so much! Most the time I only clip in one weft (I hate that word ew) and sometimes 2 if I’m feeling like Britney. When my hair was shorter I had to clip in 3 to blend it all together. Ship it!

Halo hair extensions I had high hopes for this. It looked really pretty when it was put in by a stylist. For the life of me, I could not get this thing in my hair right without breaking hair, getting all tangle and then having a loop of  hair all poofed up. Too hard, too time consuming and I’m not about that. I gave it to my cousin, it looked great on her at least! But still…Skip it!

Shampoo brush Oh dear. I was so excited to try this scalp massager shampoo brush thing. It has a ton of great reviews! I followed the directions and lost so much hair I gasped. I will never use it again. I do use it on Griffin though and he has a dry scalp and it seems to help with the little flakes so not a total loss. However, I say skip it!
