May Favorites!

Happy SUMMER. May flew by and we survived. Barely. Here are our favorites of the month.

  1. The best white jeans! They are thick, have the perfect high rise and come in short, regular and long. I bought the 2L and they fit perfect.
  2. This swimsuit is on sale right now for $22. Love. It.
  3. Brow Stencils: I use the medium arch and it creates a perfect brow that I most definitely do not have. I love the foolproof guideline and how easy this is.
  4. Brow Powder: I use this stuff on an eyebrow brush to fill in the stencils.
  5. Hooded Towel: I got this for Hayes for summer but he wants to wear it all the time. Bath. Nap. Casual dinner apparel. Seriously, all the time.
  6. Studs: Cute 2 pack for summer. I love the small turquoise hoops and wear them all the time. The gold are shells and so cute too but Paige made fun of me and said they looked like bedazzled lady parts…so there’s that.
  7. Maxi: Comes in a million colors and such a great price. From the pool to dinners on the patio, I will be in this a lot.
  8. Sunnies: These took a little longer to get to me but they are $12.99 and so dang cute. Worth the wait.
  9. Strawberry huller: Who knew I needed such a thing?! I didn’t until I read Paiges kitchen gadget post and it piqued my interest. Now my strawberries seems so fancy.
  10. Scrub gloves: Genius. Another great purchase from the kitchen gadget post. These keep my manicure in tact while I wash the never ending dishes. Neverrrrrr endinggggggg.
  11. Body Suit. Multiple length snaps and a great basic that I can wear with shorts, skirts, under jackets, etc.
  12. Goggles that won’t get tangled in hair. Where have these been for the last 5 years of my life? My daughter always gets her hair stuck in her goggles. These nifty ones have a satin strap that won’t get stuck. Why didn’t I think of that?!
  13. Ive really been working on getting my hair healthier this month. I LOVE this duo. I use the blow dry primer first then spray the anti-frizz smoothing spray. This duo is a strengthening thermal heat protectant for over-processed, weakened, and damaged hair.
  14. Graphic Tee: I love this Pink Floyd shirt and it makes me feel cool even though I couldn’t name one of their songs.
  15. Hoops: Love the summer colors and these are a good size while still being lightweight.
  16. Nioxin Shampoo and Conditioner: My hair girl told me to try this out after seeing some thinning and breakage around my face. I was skeptical but I am really impressed. My hair is feeling stronger and thicker already and I’ve only been using it for 4 weeks. It has a nice minty scent and makes my hair feel super clean and shiny. I am sold.
  1. Chi Hair Spray: Smells delightfully like a dude. But like not in a way that will make you smell like polo sport. Holds my curls or waves and I can still easily run my hands through my hair. This is the best hairspray I have used in my whole hairy life.
  2. Charging Station: My best parenting tool. iPads are currency around here. You get your chores done, with at least a mediocre attitude, get all the homework done, get organized for the next day, it is then, AND ONLY THEN, that you may check out your iPad dewey decimal style from Librarian Walker. We have this plugged in in our bathroom and it’s so nice to have all the devices charging all together. Get this immediately and win at parenting. It’s only $29.99.
  3. Tinted Sunscreen: My plastic surgeon’s office and my dermatologist’s office both recommend this sunscreen! I wear it every single day under my makeup. The tint looks nice and I am on my second bottle, so that is how you know I really like it!
  4. The undisputed champion denim skirt: I can speak on this with confidence as I have tried on multiple denim skirts only to be left looking like a figureless, deflated butt, non stylish nincompoop. I was shipping one back every few days and almost gave up. No wonder this is a best seller, I shouldn’t have tried to save money on such a great staple. All the cheap ones made me look like the church secretary. Not that that’s a bad thing, but not the look I was wanting. Jeni and I both wear a 25 and I will never need to buy another denim skirt again.
  5. Bralette: I took a chance on this at the Nordstrom sale, which is still going on until June 2! I love it! It is comfortable and soft with nice stretch, but really well made. For $18 you should definitely grab one of these! I wear a medium and I’m a 34C in regular bras.
  6. Wide Side Thong: I’m ashamed to admit that this is my first matching bra and panty set in probably 15 or more years. I am so excited and I feel so cute in my matching little set! I wore the thong today, some thongs I can’t deal with, this one was easy peasy! Size small.
  7. Pineapple peeler corer miracle worker: Y’all. Y’ALL! This is $6 and is an absolute stroke of genius. I usually buy pre cut pineapple and not only is it approximately $10 per pineapple cube (slight exaggeration) sometimes it tastes like acid or some kind of weird burning sensation happens when I eat it. Fresh pineapple is so much better! I have bought pineapple after pineapple now that I have this and you will want to also! All you do is cut the top off of the pineapple, poke the circular part around the core (that’s what she said) and twist it down like a corkscrew until you reach the bottom (that’s what she said). Then, I lay the pineapple on it’s side on the cutting board and pull the handle with a little wiggle (that’s what she said), it gets suctioned in there sort of, and out pulls the most beautiful cylinder of sunshine (that’s what she said). You can then just pull it off the peeler in rings or half circles or whatever.
  8. Blondie Tank: Do I know a single song they sing? Not that I can recall. But do I think that is completely ok because I have blond hair? Yes! I found this great tank for $28 instead of $59 I got a small, there are only mediums and larges left, but you could easily size up in this since it’s such a casual flowy top. It’s pretty much my favorite shirt. I have worn it with cut offs, camo jeggings and yoga pants.
  9. Green Bikini Top Yellow Bottoms: The most flattering and comfortable, easy to wear, take the kids swimming or lounge by a fancy pool kind of suit. I have a small, the top fits like a cute sports bra and has a very unlikely nip slip factor. The bottoms have a little belted sort of fabric piece that make them look so flattering! Top is $15, bottoms are $11.
  10. Calm App: I downloaded the free trial on my phone to do some meditation and relaxing stuff when I’m ready to go to sleep. I have slept amazing and I get so relaxed that my body feels like a heavy boulder. Try it!
  11. Boys shortie undies: Griffin loves these and I love how cute they are on him! He is 3, and if you watch our instagram stories you know about his underwear only OOTD. They go from size 2T up to 10, hold up really well when you wash them and he prefers these to all the other undies in the drawer.
  12. Key Ring: Calling all key losing, scatter brained mamas!! This has made keeping up with my keys so much easier. The silicone ring fits over your wrist (it actually fits all the way up my arm) they come in tons of fun colors and are waterproof. At $25 they are much cheaper than the original version that looks like it’s made out of some type of leather material and I think the silicone ones are cuter too!
  13. Self Tan Eraser: The key to getting the little remaining bits of spray tan to scrub off with ease. Rub this foaming cleanser on your dry skin 10-15 minutes before you shower, scrub with a washcloth or the mitt I blogged about with the spray tan hacks, and watch it magically scrub away. I linked the cheapest one I could find, you have to pay for shipping at this particular retailer, but even with the shipping cost it was cheaper than amazon.
  14. Pill Organizer: My assistant staged an intervention when I texted her for the umpteenth time asking if she remembered if I took my pill. She made me get one of these and it helps my poor ADHD brain so much!
  15. Wickbox: This is the most exciting and fun subscription! I looked and looked for a nice monthly candle subscription that shipped out all different brands of candles. I found this one and couldn’t be happier! You take a quiz to let them know what scents you prefer and they have nailed it! They have a medium box (1 surprise medium luxury candle) for $26 and a large box (1 surprise large luxury candle) for $36. They choose candles with the prettiest containers so it makes my house look and smell so good!
  16. Leopard Tank: adorable with cut offs or skinny jeans and wedges. Size small.
  17. Gold Lace Up Heels: Gorgeous shoes! Decently comfortable, like heel comfortable, not like fuzzy slipper comfortable. Knock two trends out with one shoe, clear and metallic lace up! I wear my normal 7.5.
  18. 3-in-1 avocado slicer: Where have you been all my life? My 1-in-1 slicer is not nearly as good as this thing and was quickly replaced! Cut it open, twist the seed, and slice that avocado in 7 perfect pieces. $9.99!
  19. Tens Unit: I didn’t know how inexpensive these were or I would have bought one a long time ago. I have a lot of neck and lower back pain and this helps a lot with pain management.
  20. Portable Steamer: I have had bad luck with steamers. They either don’t really make enough steam, leak, or they spray out bits of water all over my clothes. This one is finally the winner, it’s awesome and great for travel. Only $29.99 and has over 300 perfect reviews.
  21. Jurassic Swim Trunks: I just can not with all this boy stuff. After three girls, this has been so fun for me! Griffin and I both are obsessed with these swim trunks and I need all the other fun patterns they come in as well! They have sizes 2T-5 and 10 of the cutest darn patterns you ever did see. Kinda fratty which I kinda love. And if you want to go full on family theme, get a matching one for dad.
  22. J Brand Cut-offs: Once every 2 or 3 years I splurge on a pair of cut offs. I used to think this was so dumb until I literally wore them every single day of the entire summer for multiple summers. My citizens of humanity ones finally got a butt rip, my rag and bone started feeling a little too short for a mom of 4 and like the denim skirt, I had 3 or more fails before I found the summer soul mate. If you live in shorts, go ahead and invest in 1 really nice pair, you will be so glad you did! These are a great classic, mid rise, not too short and not too distressed. Got my usual 25 and they fit just right.
  23. White Heels: I didn’t realize how much I needed white heels, until I owned white heels. I have worn these a lot with dresses and jeans. The shoes are so pretty and also come in a light tan color. The block heel makes them easy to walk in. I wear a 7.5 and got a 37 and it fits great. The buckle on these is so cute, I just love them!
  24. Rainbow Romper: I have already worn this several times. It’s so flowy and cool it will be perfect all summer. I will wear it with flat sandals and as a swim cover up. It’s the happiest outfit I have, I have a small and the straps are adjustable. My babysitter tried it on today and was obsessed also.
  25. Beach Fleece: Light and airy fabric, believe the hype. Wear this with shorts for a daily comfy look or over a swimsuit. It’s on sale for $31 and comes in lots of colors. I got a small and it fits a little oversized, but I wouldn’t suggest sizing down.
  26. Bikini Top: Medium. This is the cutest bikini top I have ever had. The quality is so good and the fabric is really soft. It’s not like every other designer bikini you see. I was so overly excited to get this in the mail until I realized the bottoms were final sale and 1980s hooters style high waisted cheeky. So now I have these $95 bottoms that I tried on once on my Poshmark. I was so obsessed with the top that I had to find another lavender bottom to go with it.
  27. Bottoms: Small. Annnnd I found them! Annnnnd they are only $32 which balances out the upscale (rightfully so) price of the top. What a winning combo!
  28. Backpack: Jeni and I have probably said this several times, but this backpack is where it’s at. We love it for travel, we love it for everyday, I have been using it constantly. The word about this backpack needs to be continually spread because we are so happy with ours! And the color choices are just dreamy!
  29. Bow Flip Flops: These come in 4 great neutral colors and they smell like fruit. Such a nice twist on the usual old flip flop. They look so cute with a cover up at the pool and I wore them today with cut offs and a nicer cami.
